Dr. Michelle Sleater Joins Integrative Internal Medicine
For the first time in nearly 15 years, a female Internal Medicine specialist has joined Platte Valley Medical Center’s medical staff. Michelle Sleater, M.D., is an expert in adult and geriatric medicine and recently joined the practice of Integrative Internal Medicine with Drs. Massa and Anderson. She sees patients in Brighton and Reunion. Dr. Sleater is also bilingual, enjoys working with geriatric patients, and specializes in treating diabetes, hypertension, asthma and COPD.
Dr. Sleater provides preventive care, vaccinations, recommended cancer screenings, evaluations of and treatment for chronic medical conditions, diet and exercise counseling, smoking cessation and basic mental health services as well.
“I believe in promoting health and wellness by addressing lifestyle issues. My goal is to help manage chronic conditions while minimizing medications,” says Dr. Sleater.
She received her medical degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine and completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Stanford University. She is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
