You’ve all heard the saying, “Age is just a state of mind,” and that is what all 12 of the contestants in the upcoming 2016 Ms. Colorado Senior America Pageant want to prove. All contestants, who are 60 years of age or older, will be competing in a private interview, evening gown, “Philosophy of Life” statement, and talent. And oh, what a variety of talent they have! These beautiful, poised, and elegant ladies will show their abilities have not diminished with maturing age.
The Pageant will be held on Sunday, April 17, 2016, at 2 p.m., at the Lakewood Cultural Center. Tickets are on sale NOW and are selling quickly. You can purchase on line by visiting www.Lakewood.org/Tickets, or by calling 303-987-7845, or by picking up the tickets in advance at the Box Office, 470 S. Allison Parkway, Lakewood CO. Tickets are $15 plus processing fee. Seating is limited, so please purchase your tickets early.
The Ms. Colorado Senior America Pageant is a non-profit organization created to emphasize and give honor to women with extraordinary talents and achievements who have reached the ÒAge of EleganceÓ (age 60 plus). Through the Colorado Cameo Club, these women continue voluntarily showcasing their talents year round performing at various venues in the Colorado Region and serving as role models to inspire and enrich the lives of other Senior Americans.
A panel of judges scores contestants to find the one who has the greatest presence, style, personality, enthusiasm, talent, and who can overall best represent the inner beauty and dignity of a Ms. Senior America.
The winner of the State Pageant will compete in the National Ms. Senior America Pageant in Atlantic City, in October 2016, and will represent the State of Colorado throughout her year of reign by appearing on radio and TV, in newspaper ads and stories, in parades, and at other events throughout the state.
