Denver’s Newest 55+ Community Announces Addition of a Community Host
Broomfield, Colo. — Skyestone, Denver’s newest 55+ community, has announced the hiring of its host for the new Broomfield neighborhood.
McKenzie Navarro will manage the daily activities for residents at the Broomfield community. Navarro will be responsible for programming and daily events at the community’s centerpiece amenity, The Lodge, designed to bring today’s active lifestyle residents together in one sophisticated gathering place.
Opening in 2015, The Lodge at Skyestone serves as the community’s main gathering place, a beautiful space where you can meet family or friends for a bite to eat, yoga on the event lawn or a swim in the beautiful pool and spa. Whatever you choose, The Lodge’s interior spaces are assigned to six distinct experiential spaces – Savor, Taste, Indulge, Play, Rejuvenate and Refresh.
Another key component is Skyestone’s integration with the surrounding environment. Miles of walking and hiking trails, community garden space and hundreds of acres of open space surround the community, making Skyestone unlike any other 55+ community in Denver. Navarro, who is an avid cyclist, golfer and baker, will fit in nicely with Skyestone’s inspired residents, Curtis said.
“We’re very pleased to welcome McKenzie to Skyestone,” said Kathy Curtis, community manager for Skyestone. “Her enthusiasm and warm personality with be the perfect complement for the lifestyle we’re creating in Broomfield.”
Prior to Skyestone, Navarro worked for a residential agency in Denver where she managed the medical, financial and recreational aspects of clients’ lives. Navarro also interned with the state of Wyoming’s Planning Council on Developmental Disabilities and with the Albany County (Wyoming) Sheriff’s Department.
