Denver Chefs Will Compete for the Best Chicken Wings to Raise Funds for Denver Housing Authority’s Youth Employment Academy

The Denver Housing Authority (DHA) is thrilled to announce the upcoming “Wings and Whiskey” event, scheduled for Sunday, May 19, 2024, at Ace Eat Serve, located at 501 E. 17th Avenue in Denver. This culinary event will feature top chefs from eight renowned Denver restaurants competing for the title of tastiest wings, all in support of DHA’s nonprofit, Youth Employment Academy (YEA).

YEA is a vital program dedicated to educating, employing, and empowering some of Denver’s most vulnerable youth. By participating in Wings and Whiskey, attendees enjoy a culinary experience as well as contribute to the meaningful work of YEA.

“We are incredibly excited about Wings and Whiskey, an event celebrating Denver’s vibrant culinary scene while making a tangible impact on the lives of young people in our community,” said Annie Hancock, Executive Director of Youth Employment Academy.

Wings and Whiskey attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy unlimited samples of chicken wings from participating restaurants, including the YEA’s very own Osage Café, along with food provided by Ace Eat Serve. Two drink tickets will also be provided for whiskey cocktails, unlimited beer from Weldwerks, and access to a whiskey tasting booth. Tickets for Wings and Whiskey are now available for purchase. General admission tickets are priced at $70, while VIP tickets are available for $90. To purchase tickets and learn more about the event, visit

All proceeds from Wings and Whiskey will directly support YEA’s innovative programs, which include Arts Street, the Osage Café and Mercado, and Decatur Fresh.
