50+ Volunteer Fair: Make a Difference

Add a sense of purpose and zest to your senior years, and meet some wonderful people along the way. There are some great causes out there for children, adults, seniors, animals, history, environment, etc. Volunteering is also associated with less depression, increased well-being, and longer life. Visit a variety of agencies that have opportunities for you to make a difference. A free “Finding a Good Volunteer Fit” talk is presented by Metro Volunteers at 10 am. Bunco Bash

New and veteran Bunco players are welcome for a fun and easy dice game, with light refreshments and prizes. Register ($4) by 8/2.

Computer & Technology Classes

Upcycled Candles
Friday, August 5, 1-3 pm
Upcycling is the process of reusing materials to create a product of higher value than the original. Learn to upcycle your used candles to create beautiful gifts. Supply list available at the Community Recreation Center. Register $12 (non-res. $14) by 7/29.
