Final Wishes Expo

Addressing end of life topics is never easy; yet planning ahead eases the burden on your family and friends. Meet professionals who can provide you with options to prepare and clarify your final wishes. Please register in advance for this free expo. Celebrate Senior Friday Club
Friday, June 10, 12:30-1 pm
A free open house to learn about the Friday Club’s opportunities: bridge, golf, bowling, mahjongg, pinochle, canasta, and more. Enjoy snacks and door prizes.

Free Summer Concert Series
Join us for a morning performance for you and your grandkids, or an evening concert for the whole family. Sponsored by the Scientific & Cultural Facilities District, Apex Park & Recreation District Foundation, Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation, Prospect Recreation & Park District, Sooper Credit Union, Craft Carousel Gift Shop, Gardens at St. Elizabeth, Life Care Centers of America, City of Arvada Parks, and the Friends of the Concerts. In case of rain, the concerts move to the Community Recreation Center, 6842 Wadsworth Blvd.

Art Basics 101
Fridays, June 3-July 8, 1-3 pm
Perfect for beginners or as a refresher for those already painting. Cover drawing techniques, value, perspective, composition, color mixing/theory, art materials, and framing. Supply list available at the Community Recreation Center. Register $39 ($47 non-res.) by May 31.

T-Shirt Quilts
Wednesday, June 1-22, 5-7:30 pm
T-shirts often tell stories of memorable events and fun times. Remember them by assembling 16-20 shirts into a quilt. Bring shirts to first class; materials list discussed at that time. Register $40 ($48 non-res.) by May 25.

The Basics of Memory Loss

Zumba Gold

Exercise to a Latin beat from a chair. You will be surprised what a workout you get. Drop-in fee $3.50 ($4.50 non-res.), or one scan of your SilverSneakers card.

Zumba Fitness and Zumba Toning
Spice up your workout with fun Latin dances presented in an aerobic format: salsa, merengue, cha cha, samba, rumba, and more. The Zumba toning adds toning sticks or small hand weights to the mix. Discounted rate available for Silver Sneakers. The fees are payable in advance and are $42 ($50 non-res.) for each 7 week session.

Genealogy: Denver Public Library

Hop aboard our van to explore the vast information in the Western History/Genealogy department at DPL. Library volunteers welcome your questions and can help you get started.
