Community Reach Center’s Reach for the Green golf tourney scheduled Sept. 9
Annual community fundraiser celebrates 40th year ~
(Thornton/Brighton area—Aug. 24, 2020) Community Reach Center will host the 40th Annual Reach for the Green Golf Tournament in memory of Mary and Donald C. Ciancio on Wednesday, Sept. 9, at Todd Creek Golf Course, 8455 Heritage Drive.
Foursomes choose from two tee times, which will follow a scramble format. Check-in begins at 6:30 a.m. for the 7:45 a.m. start, and check-in begins at noon for the 1 p.m. start. Individual players are welcome and will be assigned to a foursome. Prizes are awarded for first, second and third place winners in both flights. Special contests – including the longest drive and the longest putt – will take place throughout each flight. Also, the tourney will feature several hole-in-one contests for a chance to win a new vehicle.
Each entry includes a round of golf, a goody bag, breakfast, lunch, and a 5 p.m. outdoor reception and awards program. Registration is $150 for individuals or $100 for first responders and veterans. Mary Ciancio was a champion of mental health and one of the founding supporters of Community Reach Center. Don Ciancio mirrored his mother’s dedication and generosity. He founded the golf tournament in 1980 and worked tirelessly on it every year.
Tournament proceeds will go toward the many programs Community Reach Center offers the community including our integrated care services, school-based programs, Mountainland Pediatrics, counseling services and more.
