The Colorado Wind Ensemble, the metro area’s urban wind symphony, welcomes conductor David Kish in a concert celebrating CWE’s heritage and approaching new horizons in Heritage to Horizons on October 17 and 18. Dr. Kish leads the CWE in a program including Overture to “Candide” by Leonard Bernstein, Symphony no. 6 by Vincent Persichetti, Sunrise at Angel’s Gate by Philip Sparke, Early Light by Carolyn Bremer, Blue Dawn into White Heat by Gunther Schuller, Sheltering Sky by John Mackey, Tower Ascending by Wayne Oquin, and In Storm and Sunshine by John Heed.
