Colorado Supreme Court Justice Speaks at Boulder Senior Law Day
Boulder, CO — This year, Colorado Supreme Court Justice Nancy E. Rice will
be the keynote speaker during Boulder County Senior Law Day. Legal, financial, health and geriatric care experts will offer lectures and workshops aimed at informing and empowering aging adults, their families and caregivers.
This event is free and open to Boulder residents and will be held on Saturday, August 9th from 8 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. at Calvary Bible Church, 3245 Kalmia Avenue in Boulder. Attendees outside of Boulder County are asked to bring a $5/per person contribution.
First started in 2010 by dedicated community volunteers, this annual event features a full day of lectures, workshops and information geared toward educating seniors about legal issues, as well as financial, health and well-being topics. Attorneys will be on hand for 15-minute sessions to answer legal questions. “Senior Law Day is a marquee program,” said Mary Cowen, event co-chair. “Seniors should fully understand their rights and finances at all times to protect themselves and to plan for the years ahead.”
More than 50 exhibitors including area business and agencies focused on seniors’ needs will
be available to answer questions. Attendees will receive a complimentary lunch and a 2014 Senior Law Handbook, compliments of KUSA-TV. There is free parking and door prizes.
