CLEMENTS COMMUNITY CENTER The Clements Community Center, located at 1580 Yarrow St., Lakewood, offers a wide variety of activities and services that emphasize social, mental and physical wellness for people age 55 and better. HOT MEAL DEAL Are you age 60 and better and looking for new friends and a nutritious meal? Come to the Volunteers of America dining site at the Clements Community Center.
- Lunch is served Monday through Thursday and the first Friday of each month at noon.
- Call 303-987-4833 by 1 p.m. two business days in advance to reserve a meal.
- Door-to-door transportation is available for Lakewood residents ages 60 and better. Call 303-987-4826 to register for a ride.
- Live music most Wednesdays, bingo every other Monday and SilverSneakers® classes Monday through Thursday. Fee: Donation based; the suggested contribution is $2.50
SATURDAY NIGHT DANCE Join us for three hours of dancing to a live band from 7 to 10 p.m. on the second, third and fourth Saturdays of each month. (Doors open at 6 p.m.) Meet new friends, enjoy refreshments and have a good time.

ESSENTRICS®, RELEASE, REBALANCE, RESTORE This hou-rlong all-standing class provides a low-impact, full-body workout designed to improve strength, flexibility, balance and posture. This class is great for anyone starting to exercise after a long sedentary period, those recovering from an injury or dealing with chronic pain. Chairs are available to help with balance when necessary. Fee: $44 / $51 nonresident or $6/class, no fee for SilverSneakers® and Renew ActiveTM members Thu Jan 16-Mar 5 noon-1 pm
A HISTORY OF THE ACADEMY AWARDS Journey back in time to the influential, controversial and occasionally funny past of the Academy Awards. Enjoy a historical perspective on the Academy Awards from its inception to the present. LUNCH AND A CLASSIC You will enjoy a delicious lunch before experiencing the award-winning, classic movie “The Philadelphia Story” (1940).
