HOT MEAL DEAL
Are you over age 60 and looking for new friends and a nutritious meal that you don’t have to cook? Come to the Volunteers of America dining site at the Clements Community Center. Lunch is served Monday through Thursday and the first Friday of each month at noon. Suggested contribution is $2.50. Call 303-987-4833 by 1 p.m. two business days in advance to reserve a meal. Door-to-door transportation is available for Lakewood residents ages 60 and older that come for lunch. Call 303-987-4826 to register for a ride. Live music most Wednesdays, bingo every other Monday, and SilverSneakers® classes Monday through Thursday.

NATIVE AMERICAN FLUTE LEVEL 1
Saturdays, April 6 – April 27 9:30-11:30 a.m.
The Native American flute is an easy instrument that does not require the ability to read traditional sheet music. Bring your own six-hole Native American flute in the key of A or use a loaner flute for class and at home practice.

BEGINNING MAH JONGG
Fridays, April 5 – April 26 1-3:30 p.m.
You’ll learn what those game tiles are all about and how to make sense of the Mah Jongg playing card. Bring a pen and paper. Receive a handout of rules at the end of the first class.

WATERCOLOR- INTERMEDIATE
Wednesdays, April 3 – May 22 1-3:30 p.m.
Within a landscape composition, learn how to gain depth and perspective in your paintings. Learn how to draw and paint trees, barns and other structures.
 
SATURDAY NIGHT DANCE
7-10 p.m., Doors open at 6 p.m.
Dance to a live band, enjoy refreshments, meet new people and have a good time. $7 per person.

FRUITION FARMS TOUR
Tuesday, April 9 9 a.m.–4 p.m.
Meet some of the critters, view the creamery, see the farm operations and enjoy lunch from the Mercantile Dining and Provision. Trip includes tour, travel leader, transportation and lunch.

CANDLELIGHT DINNER THEATER
Saturday, April 13 10:45 a.m.-5 p.m.
This Tony and Olivier Award-winning theatrical masterpiece also won an Academy Award for Best Picture. The streets of Victorian England come to life as Oliver, a malnourished orphan in a workhouse, becomes the neglected apprentice of an undertaker.

ST. VRAIN CIDERY
Saturday, April 20 8 a.m.–5 p.m.
With 24 ciders on tap and another 12 soon to be added, it’s almost impossible to find a cider you won’t like at St. Vrain Cidery in Longmont. Trip includes tour, travel leader, transportation and lunch.

Saturday, April 20 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
See Denver’s newest attraction: the fabulous Gaylord Rockies Resort near DIA. It features 1,500 rooms, eight restaurants and a variety of unique displays. Self-guided tour with lunch included.
