Cultural Lunch with Bhutanese Nepali Refugee Elders
Friday, April 18, 11:30 a.m.
The Aurora Center for Active Adults (ACAA) is partnering with the Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG) Area Agency on Aging to improve access to senior resources for refugee elders. A grant supports these efforts. You are invited to attend a Volunteers of America (VOA) customized, ethnic lunch were you will meet the refugee elders and have a new cultural experience. Adults over 60 are not expected to make a contribution toward the cost of the lunch; for others the cost is $7.50. VOA is working with the refugee community to prepare typical lunches for the refugee elders. The April will be for the Bhutanese Nepali Elders. Lunch reservations are required three days in advance.
