You’ve heard the saying, “Every time a bell rings an angel gets his wings.” Well, bells are ringing at the Mount Evans Home Health Care & Hospice offices in Evergreen (3081 Bergen Peak Dr.) as a unique group of volunteers known as the “Angel-Makers” gather to create this year’s batch of decorative holiday angel ornaments. This 22-year-old mountain tradition blends crafting and socializing in a way that resembles the quilting bees of yesteryear. Whether you are a crafter, a socializer, or both, consider joining the Angel-Makers this year. Angel-making sessions will be held on Mondays from 1-4pm and Fridays from 9am-12pm, Sept. 8 through Nov. 3. To volunteer, call 303-674-6400 or email LCarpenter@MountEvans.org.
