Applications for contestants are now being accepted for the 2016 Ms. Colorado Senior America Pageant.   Don’t miss out on this exciting event which will be held at the Lakewood Cultural Center, 470 S. Allison Parkway, Lakewood, Colorado on Sunday, April 17, 2016.  The theme of the upcoming pageant is “A Portrait of Elegance.”

Ms. Colorado Senior America Pageant, Inc. is a non-profit organization created to emphasize and give honor to women with extraordinary talents and achievements who have reached the “Age of Elegance” (age 60 plus).  Through its supporting arm, the Colorado Cameo Club, these vibrant, youthful senior women continue voluntarily showcasing their talents year round performing at various venues in the Colorado Region and serving as role models to inspire and enrich the lives of other Senior Americans, as well as our nation’s youth.

The 2015 Ms. Colorado Senior America, Buddi Boryla, has been busy giving back to her community by appearing in Colorado parades, being featured on the 9News morning show with TaRhonda Thomas, and performing at showcases at local nursing homes.  She is also preparing to fly to Atlantic City, NJ, in October to compete for the national title of Ms. Senior America 2015.

Contestants are scored by a panel of judges looking for the lady who best exemplifies the inner beauty and dignity of a Ms. Senior America.  Criteria used is based on a private interview, an evening gown competition which displays poise and gracefulness,  a statement that conveys her “philosophy of life,” and a talent presentation that demonstrates that a woman’s accomplishments in music, art, dance, or other talent need not diminish with maturing age.

If you would like to be a part of this exciting organization and Pageant, you are encouraged to apply.  Please call Pageant Recruiters: Nancy Pulc, 720-220-8368, Shari Ortiz, 303-410-1604 or State Pageant Administrator, Debbie Buczkowski, 303-570-5394.  For more information on the Pageant, application process and forms, or to consider being a sponsor or supporter of this worthwhile organization, please visit our website at www.colosramerica.com.
