“Bowling for 3 to 103 yrs”
14th annual “BOWL-A-RAMA” to benefit nursing home elders and at-risk youth
Bring your family or get a group of employees or club members together for this bowling blast! Put together a team of 4 bowlers or sponsor a team or teams and help Bessie’s Hope continue its unique and vitally needed work of bringing together elders and youth to cultivate mutually rewarding relationships. “Bessie’s Hope helped me find a new me inside–a kinder me.” This quote was from an 18-yr old male volunteer from a residential treatment center for troubled teens. Because of their work with Bessie’s Hope, these youth often leave the rut of violence and turn toward a brighter future as compassionate, responsible adults. 60% nursing home elders receive NO personal visitors other than the Bessie’s Hope volunteers of all ages, including youth groups, adult groups, families and individuals.
Bowlers of all ages and all bowling abilities from beginner to pro enjoy this event, and there are accommodations for wheelchair bowling and for small children. Participants are asked to gather donations, with $40 per bowler being the minimum raised or paid.
Reservations and bowling registrations must be made in advance on www.bessieshope.org or by calling 303-830-9037 for the Saturday, November 4 Bowl-a-rama.
