Healthy Cooking – Spring Brunch. Friday, May 7, 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. 

Learn to cook a one-dish healthy frittata using seasonal kale, a recipe that is easily transformed into a dozen different meals for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, warm or cold, for everyday eating or entertaining.

Join this program to learn about the Right to Repair movement and how to participate in local free clinics to repair broken items, large and small. 

Interventions for Improving Vascular Aging. Monday, May 17, 2:00 – 3:00 p.m.

This online program will describe studies currently ongoing in the CU Boulder Integrative Physiology of Aging Laboratory focused on improving age-related artery function.

Using Zoom on an iPad. Tuesday, May 18, 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.

Learn how to view participants and use on-screen controls, audio options, and screen sharing. An electronic-version handout will be provided.

Sorting Out Recycling in Boulder County. Wednesday, May 19, 3:00 – 4:00 p.m.

City of Boulder Sustainability Coordinator Ellen Orleans will review curbside recycling, composting, and trash as well as hard-to-recycle materials, hazardous materials, and reuse options at Resource Central.

Journaling. Thursday May 20, 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. 

In this monthly online journaling group, come prepared to write, listen, and share inner wisdom through humor, truth-telling, and spirit. Group leader: Jim Kettering. 

Impact and Resistance Training for Bone Health. Friday, May 21, 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.

This online program will review the new evidence for impact and resistance training in optimizing bone density and preventing bone loss in osteoporosis and osteopenia.

Instructor: Dr. Vasquez has been treating orthopedic and pelvic floor conditions since graduating from Regis University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program in 2013.

Understanding Alzheimer’s and Dementia. Tuesday, May 25, 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.

Review the difference between Alzheimer’s and dementia, disease stages and risk factors, current research and treatments that address some symptoms, and resources. Presented by the Alzheimer’s Association.

What’s NEW with Collette Travel. Wednesday, May 26, 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. 

Join this program to learn about a trip to Portugal offered through Older Adult Services in 2022 and what the Collette Travel company is doing to keep their guests safe during trips. Questions about other travel destinations also welcome. 

Planning for Long Term Care and What to Consider. Thursday, May 27, 10:30 a.m. – noon

Learn to make a Long-Term Care plan that is flexible and provides peace of mind.
