Facilitated Dialogue: “One Mind?”. West Age Well Center, 1st and 3rd Thursdays, June 1 – August 23, 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. Join this bi-monthly dialogue group at the West Age Well Center. Come with the intention of being kind, open, honest, present, willing to share and listen to one another.

Dance for Parkinson’s with 3rd Law Dance Theater. West Age Well Center, each Thursday, 1:00 – 2:00 p.m.

In chairs or standing, this class will explore elements of different dance styles accompanied by energizing and inspiring music. 

Chair Yoga and Balance Series. West Age Well Center, Fridays, June 2 – 23, 10:00 – 10:45 a.m. Fees: R/NR $32/$40. This class brings together postures and techniques of yoga with the support of a chair. All levels welcome.

T’ai Chi Level I – Beginning. East Age Well Center, Tuesdays, June 6 – August 15, 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. Fees: R/NR $72/$90. Learn and review the basics, including breath, mental focus, postural awareness and correct mechanics of each move.

Move With Ease: A Series to Introduce Feldenkrais. West Age Well Center, Monday, June 5, 10:00 – 11:15 a.m. The Feldenkrais Method of Somatic Education® helps participants learn to move with ease using slow, mindful movements to achieve powerful effects in terms of balance, flexibility, and coordination.

Experimental Techniques in Watercolor and Gouache. East Age Well Center, Thursdays, June 15 – July 20, 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. Fees: R/NR $50/$63 Learn a variety of experimental techniques in both watercolor and gouache, including ink techniques, mono-printing, and using sand, dyes, plastic wrap and fibers. 

NEW! MHP Peer Counseling: Women’s Support Group. West Age Well Center, 1st and 3rd Thursdays, 2:00- 3:30 p.m. This group meets twice monthly for a confidential, emotionally supportive conversation about the challenges associated with aging. SPARK and Studio Arts Boulder Pottery Class. West Age Well Center, 2nd Tuesdays, June 13 – August 8, 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. Participants will learn about the fundamentals of pottery to make functional and whimsical pieces. SPARK programs are designed for individuals with neurodegenerative diseases, including dementia, Alzheimer’s, and Parkinson’s, who are accompanied by their caregiver or partner. 

How Hearing Loss Affects the Brain. West Age Well Center, Tuesday, June 20, 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Join Dr. Anu Sharma to discuss the cognitive, social-emotional, and neurophysiological changes associated with hearing loss in older adults as well as how treatment with hearing aids can positively impact those changes. Sponsored by Family Hearing.

Boulder Food Resources. West Age Well Center, Thursday, June 22, 2:30 – 4:00 p.m. Join this program to review current food resources in the community, with presentations from Meals on Wheels, Community Food Share and Cultivate.
