Ageless Grace is a fitness and wellness program consisting of 21 Simple Tools for Lifelong Comfort and Ease. It is designed to be practiced in a chair so that almost anyone of any age, ability, body type, size, or with any physical challenge, can participate and benefit from these simple anti-aging exercises.  Come enjoy the music, movement, conditioning, and comraderie while strengthening your body for the activities of daily living.

Active Minds: The Emancipation Proclamation

The Emancipation Proclamation, which took effect 150 years ago, changed the course of the United States while it was embroiled in the Civil War. Join Active Minds as we explore what this historic proclamation did and did not do. We will examine its impact, both immediate and long term, from the perspective of slaves, slave owners, Northerners, Southerners, and the country as a whole.

This meditation class is simple, easy to practice and presents no conflict with any religious or spiritual beliefs or practices. There will be ample time in each class for instruction, practice, feedback and questions. Participants will be able to utilize this form of meditation in their daily lives, whether sitting in silence or going about their normal routine.

Join Boulder Senior Services for a tour of the Owens-Illinois Bottling Company.  This $140 million facility supplies glass bottles to local breweries. Note:  the tour is on concrete floors in a loud area.  You will be required to wear safety glasses and a hat or hair net.  We will have lunch afterwards at Okole Maluna.

Caring for someone with AlzheimerÕs or other dementias requires knowledge, special skills and a unique outlook to enhance the well-being of the person with dementia as well as the caregiver. This program is designed for family members, friends, neighbors and partners, who either provide direct care locally or support from afar. It is beneficial to take either ÒThe Basics: Memory Loss, Dementia and AlzheimerÕsÓ or the ÒLiving With AlzheimerÕsÓ series offered regularly through the AlzheimerÕs Association before taking this more in-depth course.

We will examine key issues in Brazilian relations with the U.S. such as trade, energy, and the environment. Additionally, we will address the expansion of Brazilian economic influence globally under former President Lula and his successor Dilma Rousseff, the first female President of Brazil.

In this workshop, we will identify essential human qualities that enable us to transform the aging process into a curriculum for living fully and loving well.  In a caring, supportive environment, weÕll use short didactic presentations, experiential exercises, and guided discussions to cultivate the qualities of compassion, mindfulness, joy, and equanimity.  Join us for a day filled with fresh insights, new friends, and a life affirming vision of growing older.
