Life Savors Guided Storytelling

July 2, 1 p.m.

Adults of all Ages

Join facilitator Daniel Martinez the first Tuesday of each month to savor and share life stories in a positive environment. Find common experiences and unique perspectives with seniors in the community. 

Bookish Bingo Night

July 16, 6-7:30 p.m.

All Ages

Come celebrate Summer Reading by playing bingo at the library. Enjoy bookish prizes, reading ideas, refreshments, and discuss what you’re reading, watching, and listening to this summer.

Travel Journal Craft

Active Minds: Paris

July 22, 2 p.m.

Adults of All Ages

Join Active Minds for the story of the City of Lights. We will trace the city’s history from its Celtic origins through modern times. In the process, we’ll visit with some of the city’s most colorful characters and notable places, including the Eiffel Tower, which was despised by Parisians in its day. Grab a baguette and a bottle of wine; it’s the next best thing to being there!

Active Minds: The Olympics

July 29, 2 p.m.

Adults of All Ages

The Olympic Games, born of diplomatic and political design, have always played an important role in international politics. The Olympics provide a stage for both international cooperation and peaceful competition, as well as international conflict and confrontation. Join Active Minds as we explore the rich history of the Olympic Games and how the games have been involved in a variety of international political issues over the years.

Movie Matinee: Classic Adventure Film

July 27, 1-3 p.m.

Revisit a classic adventure film on the library’s big screen. The audience will choose between four oldie but goodie flicks: Romancing the Stone (1984), The Goonies (1985), Jumanji (1995), and The Mummy (1999).

Bemis Book Clubs

Join one of our fantastic groups to discuss thought provoking books – and sometimes just life in general. The Senior Book Group meets on the first Wednesday of the month. The Evening Book Club meets on the third Wednesday of the month.
