Native Americans in Colorado with Active Minds-Monday, November 18, 2 p.m.
Join Active Minds as we tell the stories of the original inhabitants of Colorado. From Mesa Verde to the high plains, we will trace the civilizations of the Ute, Cheyenne, Arapaho, Pueblo and other tribes as we seek to understand Colorado’s Native American history and legacy.

We’re partnering with Blind Faith Brewing, a local business, to provide a new book group – at the brewery! Each month, we will read a nonfiction book about a social, economic, or historical topic, and then meet to drink great beer and have great discussions. Blind Faith Brewing is located at 2842 W. Computer and Device Training: Open Computer Lab
Get answers to all of your computer-related questions every Thursday morning from 9:30-11 a.m. in the library’s Computer Lab. Practice your computer skills and have a little one-on-one time with a computer class instructor. Bring your smartphone or tablet and receive individual help downloading ebooks and eaudiobooks to your device. No registration required.
Facebook Basics, Monday, November 4 (9:30-11 a.m.)
Facebook is a great way to stay in touch with friends and family. Learn the ins and outs of this social media platform as we discuss everything from changing your profile picture to managing your privacy settings. Note: registration required and class size limited to 10 people.
Prerequisites: Computer basics (familiarity with keyboard and mouse) and an email account (please contact the library if you need assistance creating an account)
Google Photos for Smartphones, Monday, November 11 (9:30-11 a.m.)
Never worry about what could happen to your cell phone’s photos once you learn how to use Google Photos. We will go over how to back up photos from your phone, how to organize files in albums, and how access your photos on a computer. Note: registration required and class size limited to 10 people.
Prerequisites: Gmail email address and a smartphone.
Downloading eBooks with Libby, Monday, November 18 (9:30-11 a.m.)
Are you traveling for the holidays, or just want to learn how to get library books to your phone or tablet? This is the class for you! We’ll go over how to download the “Libby, by Overdrive” app, how to connect Bemis Library, and then how to find and check out eBooks or eAudiobooks!
Prerequisites: Compatible device (compatible devices can be found here: https://help.libbyapp.com/6105.htm Libby is not currently supported by Kindle or Nook devices) and your library card number
