Thirty girl basketball players and seniors with dementia got a jump start on the sweetest holiday when they swapped Valentine’s cards at Willowbrook Place, an Anthem Memory Care community at 5275 S. Kipling Pkwy, Littleton. The varsity, jr. varsity and C level teams from Mullen High School in Denver shared valentines, team spirit and school t-shirts with the elders. The residents poured their hearts into homemade cards with messages of encouragement for the team.

“The holidays bring back fond memories for our seniors,” said Trinity Robinson, life engagement director for Willowbrook Place. “They are energized by interacting with the next generation, and both groups enjoyed celebrating together.”
