League of Women Voters Denver Provides Presentations

April 1 – We will discuss two topics
• The National Popular Vote Compact with one of the sponsors, Representative Emily Sirota from the 9th District. This bill has already passed the State Legislature and was signed by the Governor on March 15.
• Alternative Voting Methods with emphasis on Ranked Choice/Instant Runoff. If you don’t know what this is about, this is your chance to hear it explained and ask questions.

April 15 – Pros and Cons on upcoming ballot issues:
• Right to Survive 
• Decriminalization of Psilocybin Mushrooms
• Let Denver Vote (on the Olympics).  This additional issue will not be on the May ballot but is approved to appear on the June runoff ballot.
• Additional discussion of some of the hot issues that are still under consideration in the legislature.
