Ballet Ariel is dancing excerpts from their wonderful season of shows including ‘Sleeping Beauty’ and ‘Appalachian Spring’ on Thursday, July 26th at 7:00 pm at Hampden Hall in the Englewood Civic Center. Ballet Ariel’s Summer Showcase also premieres exciting, new dances by Ballet Ariel’s dancers and choreographers. Hampden Hall is located at the Englewood Civic Center, 1000 Englewood Parkway, 2nd Floor, Englewood, CO 80110. About Ballet Ariel
Ballet Ariel was founded in 1998 by Artistic and Executive Director Ilena Norton. Now in its
18th season, Ballet Ariel has evolved into a laboratory for developing original classical ballets,
a collaborative environment where the beauty of classical ballet comes together with narrative
storytelling and a contemporary vision. This professional company is known for its graceful
and elegant, yet dynamic, choreography and staging.
Ballet Ariel also offers an exceptional pre-professional, classical ballet program and dance
classes, giving young dancers an opportunity to reach for their dreams while also being a part
of a creatively fertile dance environment.
Located in southeast Denver at 7808 E. Cherry Creek South Drive, Suite 209, the company
employs twelve professional dancers under rehearsal directors Oleg Dedogryuk and Ballet
Mistress, Patricia Renzetti. Ballet Ariel’s repertoire features original ballets such as Ballerinas by
Degas and Appalachian Spring, along with classical works including The Nutcracker and
Ballet Ariel performs its season concerts at the Lakewood Cultural Center and the Cleo Parker Robinson Theatre in Denver. They have also performed in the Arvada Center for the Arts
SummerFest Series, in the Lone Tree Passport to Culture Series, as an artistic partner at the PACE
Center, in the Denver Ballet Guild Showcase, at the Newman Center for the Performing Arts, in the
Mile High Dance Festival in Denver, and on tour in Casper, Wyoming, Durango, Colorado and at
the Tabor Opera House in Leadville. Ballet Ariel receives funding from Denver, Jefferson, Adams,
Arapahoe, and Douglas Counties through the Scientific & Cultural Facilities District and Denver
