Known for its original choreography of traditional and non-traditional ballets, Ballet Ariel offers the finest in performance and dance education. The Ballet Ariel Company and School will dance excerpts from their fall season in a free performance and reception at their studio. Children of all ages and abilities interested in studying classical ballet at an elevated level will have the opportunity to tour Ballet Ariel’s facility, meet the dancers of the professional company and enjoy free refreshments.

Ballet Ariel’s classical and beautiful version of The Nutcracker returns in all its glory to Lakewood Cultural Center. Ballerinas by Degas returns in February for a limited engagement. The full ballet will be performed at the Pinnacle Performing Arts Center on February 21st and at the PACE Center on February 28th; both performances will be at 7:00 p.m. A mini-performance and tea party will be presented at Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Theater on February 24th at 3:00 p.m. Performed to the music of Georges Bizet, Gabriel Faure sand Adolphe Adam, three acclaimed composers of the day, this Ballet Ariel original tells the story of a young dancer, Simone, and her rapid rise within the Paris Opera ballet company and the Impressionist artist, Degas, who records it all. Ballet Ariel’s season finale will feature the timeless masterpiece, Act 3 of Swan Lake, Odette’s Betrayal with the premiere of Beauty and the Beast and Other Mother Goose Stories April 27th and 28th at the Lakewood Cultural Center.
Beauty and the Beast and Other Mother Goose Stories (including Pavane of Sleeping Beauty and The Fairy Garden), performed to the Mother Goose Suite score and scenario by Maurice Ravel, will feature original choreography by Director Ilena Norton and Resident Choreographer Gregory Gonzales. Patricia Renzetti, Ballet Ariel’s Ballet Mistress, and Oleg Dedogryuk, Rehearsal Director, will stage Swan Lake, Odette’s Betrayal based on Petipa’s third act revival.
