Save the Date: Veteran’s Day Salute
Wednesday, November 9, 11:30 a.m.
In honor of Veterans Day, join us for pie and ice cream and visit with sponsors from Brookdale, Gardens at St. Elizabeth, Humana, Mountain Vista Senior Living, Optimal Aging Medicare Solutions, Iora, Kaiser, Denison Hearing, and Optum/New West Physicians.
Craft Fair
Come shop for early holiday gifts at the Apex Craft Fair on November 5, from 9:00-3:00 p.m. for unique seasonal wares of over 40 talented artisans and visit the Craft Carousel Gift Shop, featuring more handmade treasures. $2 admission at the door of free if you bring new school supplies for our local student outreach.
Active Adult Arts and Education
Fundamentals of Watercolor: November 30, 6:30 p.m.
The art of watercolor is subtle yet exciting. This class is perfect for beginners to learn basic techniques and experienced painters to take their work to new levels. James Pyott, instructor. $49 ($59 non-res.)
Spanish I: November 10, 7:00 p.m.
Learn greetings, the alphabet, pronunciation, numbers, weather, time, and more! Gain lots of new vocabulary, begin speaking in the present tense, and have a strong base by the end. We converse during each class session. $48 ($58 non-res.)
Bob Ross Painting: November 17, 11:30 a.m.
Use the Bob Ross method of wet-on-wet painting to complete a 16″x20″ canvas in just 5 hours! Paint beautifully in one class, even if you have never picked up a brush. $5 material fee payable to the instructor. Mary Tharp, certified Bob Ross instructor. $70 ($80 non-res.)
Billiards Social: November 7, 6:00 p.m.
Come play and socialize with others while receiving tips from an instructor. $70 ($84 non-res.)
Rental Opportunities at the Center
Are you looking for an affordable space to host a birthday party, retirement party, or a holiday party? The center offers small meeting rooms that are perfect for groups no more than 50 and the McCormack Hall is large enough to host up to 200 people. Call Michelle at 303.467.7197 for more information.
