Apex Community Recreation Center Now Open
The Apex Community Recreation Center (senior center) at 6842 Wadsworth Blvd. is open Mondays and Wednesdays, 8:00 a.m.-noon, and Tuesdays and Fridays, 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. We are offering a variety of activities including line dance, Spanish, duplicate bridge, intermediate bridge class, pastels, watercolor, Tuesday Painting, crochet, art shows, creative writing, current events, billiards, games, cultural events, yoga, craft shop, drop-in fitness classes, and more. Fall Prevention: Friends Don’t Let Friends Fall

In honor of Fall Prevention month, learn how you can help prevent falls by joining the Arvada Fire Department and Lutheran Medical Center for their fall prevention presentation. After a brief talk, safely participate in their modified fall prevention obstacle course. This course simulates common fall scenarios that people might encounter in the community or at home, as well as information on self-help after a fall. Register in advance. Fee: $5 ($6 non-res.).

Learn greetings, the alphabet, pronunciation, numbers, weather, time, and more! Gain lots of new vocabulary, begin speaking in the present tense, and have a strong base by the end. We converse during each class session. Register in advance. Fee: $41 ($49 non-res.).
