Apex Active Adult Programs – Aug. 2022

Below is a sampling of Apex’s upcoming Active Adult programs, but you can stay updated on all the latest offerings by visiting ApexPRD.org. The following activities are all hosted at the Community Recreation Center, 6842 Wadsworth Blvd., Arvada, unless otherwise noted.

Community Recreation Center Closure
The center will be closed August 1 – August 5 for interior painting, cleaning, and organizing. All classes and activities will resume on August 8.

Active Adult – Free Blood Pressure and Blood Sugar Screening
Wednesday, August 10, 9:30 a.m.
Keep tabs on your blood pressure and blood sugar levels. The Arvada Fire Protection District provides this free service. No appointment necessary, just drop by.

Bunco Bash
Thursday, August 25, 1:00 p.m.
Enjoy an afternoon playing this easy, fun game. Light refreshments and prizes included. Experienced and new Bunco players welcome. Register by Monday prior, $5 ($5 non-res.)

Puzzle Hustle 
Puzzlers, get your team together and join us for the Apex Puzzle Hustle jigsaw puzzle challenge! Teams of two to four people will compete to finish a 500-piece puzzle in the shortest amount of time. This event is for ages 12+. Puzzle is provided. A limited number of teams will be accepted so register early. Prizes for first and second place finishers. Registration price is per team, $35 ($40 non-res.) 

Hikes
Reynolds Park, Wednesday, August 16, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m., register in advance, $25 ($30 non-res.)

Trips
Adult Trip: Rockies Baseball Game, Wednesday, August 24, 11 a.m. – 6 p.m., register in advance, $35 ($45 non-res.)
