Cottontail Carnival

Saturday, April 9, 9:30-11:30 a.m.

The Easter Bunny is throwing a party for you and your grandkids! Play games, hop in the bounce house, take a ride on the Bunny Express Train, visit with baby goats, and bring your own camera and get your picture taken with the Easter Bunny. Fees: Ages 2-12, $10/person, ages 13 and up, $2/person, and children under 2 are free. Children must be accompanied by a paying adult. Stop by any time between 9:30-11:30 a.m. to participate. Register by Apr. 6 – no tickets sold at the door. This event will take place indoors and outside so please dress accordingly.

Expo: Downsize – Trim Your Treasures

Wednesday, April 27, 8:15-11:45 a.m.

Drop by the CRC to learn from local businesses how to downsize and distribute your belongings. This event is free to the public, but please register in advance. Also, register for a free seminar, “Who Gets Grandma’s Yellow Plate?” at 9:15 a.m. Seminar space is limited. Service providers call 303-467-7197 for vendor information and fees.

Trip: Afternoon Tea at the Huckleberry

Wednesday, April 20, 1:15-4 p.m.

Tuck into this quaint Louisville café and enjoy a pot of tea and homemade sandwiches and pastries made fresh that morning. Price includes afternoon tea, transportation, and leader. Register in advance, $43 ($53 non-res.).

Art Basics 101
Fridays, April 8-May 6, 1-3 p.m.

Perfect for beginners or as a refresher for those already painting. Learn drawing techniques, value, perspective, composition, color mixing/theory, art materials, and framing. Register in advance, $48 ($58 non-res.)

Hike: Rabbit Mountain Open Space

Tuesday, April 26, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

Hike the Rabbit Mountain loop for 3.9 miles round trip. 350′ elevation gain to a top elevation of 6006′.  Hike is easy to moderate, and fee includes transportation and leader. Register in advance, $25 ($33 non-res.).

Genealogy: Finding Your Ancestor’s Story

Thursday, April 29, 11 a.m.-noon

In genealogy, a dash is the line that separates the date a person is born from the date a person dies. The dash in essence represents their life, and all the experiences they had from birth to death. Are you looking to fill in the story of your ancestor’s life? Learn how you can tease out clues in the documents you already have and discover new sources to help you discover the story behind the dash. Register in advance, $8 ($10 non-res.)
