An affordable alternative to grocery shopping in Denver
Bondadosa, which means kindness in Spanish, is a local social enterprise created
to help decrease food insecurity across Denver. Their mission is to create access
to groceries and goods through an online store in which members can find over
2000 items at affordable prices.
Some of the great benefits of purchasing groceries through Bondadosa is that
same day delivery is free and members are not required to purchase a
“membership” or to spend a certain amount on each order.
“At Bondadosa, we strongly believe that every member of the community should
be able to have convenient access to food, and we are committed to creating
that access one delivery at a time,” said Ricardo T. Rocha, CEO. That’s one of the
reasons why Bondadosa is committed to delivering orders without any additional
fees, so members of the community, whether they lack transportation, live in a
food desert community, or simply want the convenience of saving time and
money, can take advantage of this alternative to conventional grocery shopping.
To offer healthy, good quality, and culturally relevant products at great prices,
Bondadosa has partnered with local retailers to purchase goods at wholesale
prices.
All orders can be placed online and over the phone and are delivered on the
same day between 4 pm and 7 pm as long as they are made before 1 pm seven
days a week.
To further increase access, Bondadosa accepts cash, credit/debit, or checks as
payment options, which are due upon delivery.
Bondadosa started its operations in the Sunnyside, Five Points, RiNo, Elyria
Swansea, Berkley, and Sherrelwood neighborhoods and recently expanded its
services to other Metro areas such as North and Northeast Denver, Commerce
City, Aurora, and Southwest Denver.
