Adams County Hosting Telephone Town Hall Meeting
Thousands of residents will have the opportunity to discuss events, activities and policies with the Adams County Board of Commissioners on Tuesday, April 14 from 7-8 p.m. during a telephone town hall meeting.
Nearly 10,000 county residents will be called directly to encourage their participation. All residents can dial the toll free number, 1-877-353-4701, if they would like to join the call. Participants can engage commissioners with questions, or just listen to the conversation while taking part in poll questions.
“This is a great format to get more people involved in the conversation about some of the important and exciting things happening in the county,” said Board Chairman Charles “Chaz” Tedesco. “We know it’s not always convenient for busy families to attend our traditional town hall meetings, so this is a great alternative that allows people to sit in their home and still contribute to the conversation.”
This is the first of two telephone town hall meetings planned for 2015. Another meeting will take place in the fall and there are three traditional town hall meetings scheduled as well. The Commissioners will be in the Berkeley neighborhood on May 13, Welby on August 12, and Strasburg on August 26.
