Active Volunteers Needed

St. Anthony Hospital and OrthoColorado hospital has a robust Volunteer Services Department.  Our mission is to provide meaningful volunteer opportunities and experiences that provide warmth, comfort, and support to our patients, their families, associates, visitors and our dedicated volunteers.

We are seeking active seniors to fulfill multiple roles throughout both hospitals.  Openings include customer service positions at information desks at the entrances to the hospitals, patient transport positions, clerical help, stocking supplies and other essential duties.  We also have a pet therapy program.  Departments within the hospital that utilize volunteers include Acute Care, the Breast Center, Cardia Rehab, Human Resources, Nutrition Services, the Cancer Center and many others.

At a minimum we ask that volunteers give us one four-hour shift per week and make a commitment of at least six months in the program.  Shifts are scheduled in four-hour increments from 8:00 a.m-12:00,  12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., weekdays, and weekends.  Volunteers must be able to escort patients and visitors, requiring significant walking, have an ability to push patients in wheelchairs, and lift up to 20 lbs.
