Boulder, CO – Growing Gardens, a local non-profit dedicated to cultivating community through urban agriculture, is hosting their 13th annual Community Plant Sale just in time for Spring planting.
The early spring edition of the Community Plant Sale offers gardeners a variety of salad greens, spinach, kale, chard, and many more cool-weather veggies ready to give gardeners a jump start on Spring planting. Pansies an violas will also be available to brighten up planting beds.
As the ground warms and welcome transplants into the gardens, additional Community Plant Sales will be held the first three weekends of May. Gardeners can choose from a vast selection of organic starter plants, including heirloom tomatoes from colorful cherry’s to cooking paste, and bright beautiful slicers. Look for peppers, eggplants, summer and winter squash, cucumbers, beans, peas, artichokes, pumpkins, asparagus, and all types of salad greens. We’ll also have herb starts, blackberries, blueberries, rhubarb, strawberries, raspberries, grapes, blooming annual flowers, perennial flowers, native plants, water-wise plants, vines, and grasses.
Not sure what varieties to choose or what will thrive in your space? Growing Gardens’ knowledgeable staff members will answer questions and help select varieties that will thrive in your garden space.
