Hi Prime Timers! As of this writing it’s been reported that Senator John McCain has passed away. It’s a sad day for our country. Sen. McCain spent six of his eight decades serving our country. His life story is remarkable. From POW in the Vietnam War to Presidential candidate in the 2000 and 2008 elections, he stayed true to his call to duty. Senator John McCain was a man of very high morals and a true American Hero.

Here are a few quotes from his Farewell Message which embody his character:
“I’ve loved my life, all of it.”
“I would not trade a day of my life in good or bad times for the best day of anybody else’s.” “I’ve lived and died a proud American”.
“Do not despair of our present diffi culties. We believe always in the promise and greatness of America. Because nothing is inevitable here. Americans never quit, we never surrender, we never hide from history, we make history.”
“God Bless you and God Bless America.”
Godspeed sir and may you rest in peace. Thank you for your service to our country. You truly did make a diff erence!!

Switching gears!! Can you believe summer is nearing an end? If you’re a baseball fan, things are getting pretty exciting for the Rockies. I think they’re going to be playing competitive ball right up to the end of the season. Go Rockies!!…

Well, it’s been awhile but football season is here. The Broncos after a shaky start seem to be putting all the pieces together. They have a new quarterback who is showing a lot of promise and the defense is getting stronger. They should have a solid season. Go Broncos!!…

Sincere gratitude and a big thank you to our advertisers, contributors and readers for your support!!
