Hi Prime Timers! I hope you are all enjoying your summer!! Deb and I had the opportunity to spend a week on the East coast. I even got to dip my toes in the Atlantic. We took a trip to visit our son and his family in Maryland and my brother in laws in Delaware. We try to venture back at least twice a year to see our grandkids, Isabella seven years old and Harrison five. We ended up spending a few more days than we originally planned because our return flight was canceled. Eight hours after we left their house we returned. The kids were thrilled and we were as well…

I can’t visit Delaware and Maryland and not enjoy some hard-shell crabs. It’s something I’ve been enjoying most of my adult life and a craving I passed along to my sons. Tasty, and to my chagrin expensive!! They were simply delicious…

How about the Rockies! They are hanging tough and should be in a heated race as the baseball season heads into its second half. Like my Phillies they are a young, talented team who are fun to watch. They play hard for nine innings and as a fan you can’t ask for more than that. We got tickets to see the Phillies and the Rockies when they travel here in September. I’m thinking both teams will be hot and competing for the lead in their divisions…

Deb and I will be out and about at a few upcoming Senior Events in August. On Saturday August 18th we’ll have a table at the Art of Living at the Malley Center in Englewood and on August 21st we’ll be at the Arvada Center attending the Senior Connection. If you’re in the area stop in and say hello…

We hope you enjoy this months edition. A big thank you to all our advertisers, contributors and readers. Without your support we would not be able to bring you the latest news and information about our senior community.
