“Christmas – The Healing Power of Divine Love”

DENVER – Denver’s Sixth Church of Christ, Scientist is offering a holiday gift to the community – a talk on “Christmas – the Healing Power of Divine Love.”

The free talk, to be presented at 4 p.m. on Sunday, December 17, and to which everyone is invited, will be given by Maryl Walters, a Christian Science practitioner, lecturer and teacher.

The church is located at, 2701 S. University Blvd., the corner of S. University Blvd. and E. Yale Ave. Prior to the talk, light refreshments will be served.

Since 1994, Walters of St. Louis, Missouri, has been a teacher of Christian Science, the practical Christianity found in Mary Baker Eddy’s book, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures.  Walters also has served on the Christian Science Board of Lectureship for over 20 years, presenting talks and workshops across the United States and internationally.

Prior to becoming a teacher of Christian Science, Walters was a longtime practitioner of Christian Science healing, helping people discover their unbroken relationship to God and find solutions to their own and world problems.

Walters also is an interfaith activist in her home town where she serves on the Cabinet of the Interfaith Partnership.  She also is involved in national ecumenical and interfaith dialogues, representing the Christian Science Church headquarters on the Interreligious Relations Convening Table of the National Council of Churches.
