Active Minds – The Future of Bees

Found on every continent except Antarctica, bees are vital pollinators, making possible much of the food humans eat. In recent years however, crucial bee species have experienced significant loss. Since the 1990s, the bumblebee population has plunged almost 90%. Additionally since 2006, a malady called Colony Collapse Disorder has afflicted honeybee populations. Join Active Minds to dive into the world of bees and examine the factors affecting these important species.

Explore specific devices, brands and models that are popular with older adult users and use an assessment tool to determine which device best fits individual digital needs. SPARK Warm Water Class. This unique class provides enjoyable water-assisted movement to music that stimulates neural pathways, brain activity, muscular strength, and some cardiopulmonary response. Specifically designed for individuals with neurodegenerative diseases, including dementia, Alzheimer’s, and Parkinson’s, who are accompanied by their caregiver or partner. Classes held in warm water leisure pool less than 4 feet deep. Co-sponsored by Alzheimer’s Association SPARK, City of Boulder Senior Services, Boulder Parks & Recreation, and Boulder Seniors Foundation.
