Aurora to Honor 100th Anniversary since the end of WWI at 24th Annual Veterans Salute

Nearly 800 Guests Expected

AURORA, Colo. – The city of Aurora’s annual tradition of honoring military heroes continues in 2018 with the 24th Annual Aurora Veterans Salute. The inspirational event celebrates the sacrifices made and achievements realized by military service men and women on Wednesday, Nov.7 at the Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum at 7711 E. Academy Blvd.

This year, there will also be a special tribute honoring and remembering 100th anniversary of the end of WWI.

Tickets are on sale but space is limited and subject to availability, but members of the media can be accommodated. There will be captivating interview opportunities and moments for photography and video.

The annual event includes a sponsor social and time to tour the museum 9:30-11:30 a.m. followed by a luncheon and formal program from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. honoring those who served in all conflicts and in all branches of service.

Rick Crandall, station manager and show host with Cruisin’ 1430 AM will lead the program as Master of Ceremonies.

Musical performances will be provided by The Denver Dolls and a student choir from Horizon Middle School.

The Aurora Veterans Salute is presented by the city of Aurora, and Cruisin’ 1430 AM and is hosted by the Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum.
